Mostly, we have just been busy with work and school. Also, ...
- Andrew went to the art museum with the Webelos and had a great time. He has been encouraging us to go, too.
- Seth and Logan both started soccer. Seth has had several games and done really well. Logan is more of training, but he has been having short games and having fun, too
- Katsu has had a couple migraines (sad) and we all had colds that we are still recovering from.
- We spent a lot of time watching the Vietnam documentary by Ken Burns (well, Katsu and I)
- Went to the zoo again and enjoyed all the Halloween decorations
- Decorated house for Halloween
- Spent a lot of time picking out boots, snow pants, coats, gloves, slippers, robes, etc. trying to get ready for cold weather.
- Went out to lunch with my friend, Stephanie, from elementary school
- Celebrating Katie's birthday at Grandma's house
- Boys had first dentist appointment here. They loved it - I think because the cleanings were so short and they got toys at the end. Noah wouldn't let them clean his teeth, but he did well. Logan went all by himself and did a great job!
- Lots of playing with friends. Our house has been a Nerf gun battle field
- Kids had last Friday of September off. The older boys spent the morning playing with friends, while I had a college friend Vanessa over in the morning. Then, Andrew went and took a test for the gifted magnet school and we played at Sugarhouse Park with my friend Melissa from high school. A fun day off.
- General Conference - we watched the Saturday morning session and they left early to see Seth's game. We played games and had too many snacks and went through our 72 hour kits. Katsu and the boys went to see Wild Kratts live in the evening and had a great time. Noah and I stayed at home - we went to the grocery store, made dinner, and had fun together the two of us. Sunday General Conference we had fun at home. The boys spent a long time building marble runs and domino runs. We made some delicious cinnamon rolls. During the afternoon session, our neighbor had to go to the ER, so we ended up watching their two daughters and then I slept half the night at their house till their dad came home. We were going to go to a Chinese theater show, but we had to change our minds due to the circumstances.
- Boys had flu shots at their new pediatrician. Suprisingly, it was our first freak-out free one. Seth was starting to freak out a bit but did fine. And Noah was crying and didn't want to, but did fine, too.
- Andrew got a fish at Cub Scouts - it lasted 6 days before it died.
- Wednesday was super busy with parent teacher conferences. We had 4 between the three teachers and the speech teacher. But the boys still managed to play with friends and have a fun afternoon. Then, my cousin Melissa babysat the boys while we went to see a play I won tickets to - The Heart of Robin Hood. We had a great time! A really great time. It was in the round at the Hale Center Theater.
- Thursday, I dragged the boys to Target, which I always regret, and got some Halloween costumes and cold weather clothes and other things we needed. We also stopped at the library. Then, Andrew hung out with friends for the afternoon. I went to a RS activity at a cabin in the mountains. It was beautiful and fun. I love how close we live to the mountains and how much we can enjoy their beauty when it is so close. Good to get to know the sisters in the ward.
- Friday, the boys got out of school early again (3 days that week) - Andrew had a couple friends over from school the whole afternoon, Seth went to the cabin with his friend, and we had a nice afternoon with the younger boys.
- Saturday, I went to Grandma's and tied quilts. Katsu took the boys to go to a pumpkin patch - they played in a corn maze, went down a slide, picked out pumpkins and had a great time. Then, they had fun eating samples and pizza at Costco. Then, we hung out in the yard playing and watching all the Utah fans in our neighborhood on the way to the stadium.
- Sunday, we went to church and then took a drive down Emigration Canyon and Parley's Canyon to see the fall foliage. It was beautiful. We went on a short hike by the reservoir. A great little jaunt.
