Fun Things Mar 2018

  • Andrew went to a book signing event with his friend for one of his favorite authors.
  • Trip to Ikea.  Katsu and the boys (minus Seth) even got lunch!
  • Seth and I went to see Robin Hood - it was amazing with some much arrow shooting and sword fighting.  We had a great time.
  • Seth finally got a play date with his best friend Paul.
  • My parents came to visit and took the kids out on lots of adventures:
    • Logan went to the aviary.
    • Andrew went to see a movie - he saw A Wrinkle in Time, and had a great time.
    • Noah went to the zoo
    • Seth went bowling.
    • We all went and got bagels at the bagel store.
    • We all got gelato at the gelato store.
    • Had lots of pie for Pi day.
  • Seth had his 101 Dalmations play.  My parents saw it.  We all loved it (though the kids said it was even better during the school day).  Noah is still singing all the songs every day.  Seth sang loud with all the words and knew all the hand motions.  He was one of the lead puppies and looked super cute.  It was so fun!
  • Katsu and I went to see the play Up!  It was interesting, but we didn't love it.  We also went out to a Thai restaurant.  It was great.
  • We also went on a date to an Italian museum and walking around Trolley Square.  We had a great time.
  • Walked to our ward for the first time in a foot of snow (before it got plowed).  It ended up getting cancelled after an hour, but we had a great time.
  • New gutters for the house.  They came and ripped them all off without telling us, which was odd, but we ended up liking the way they looked.
  • Laird Park easter egg hunt - kind of a bust.  We got there five or ten minutes early and it was just as the kids started hoarding the eggs and so the boys got almost none.  So, we went to This is the Place for the baby animal festival.  The boys weren't too interested in the baby animals but they loved the candy cannon and panning for gold and making arrowhead necklaces.  It was pretty fun.  We had a long trip to Lowes and barely came back alive!
  • Got passports
  • Spring break - Discovery Place.  Andrew and Seth had a bad attitude on the first floor, but everyone enjoyed the second floor.  Noah didn't want to leave - he loved all the building and didn't even get worried when he got lost once.
  • Spring break - Zoo (with the train)
  • Spring break - Planetarium - great, except for Andrew and Logan throwing big fits.  Otherwise, we loved it.
  • Dentist appointments
  • Playing with friends, video games, and too many screens
  • Katsu and Andrew and Seth spent all day Friday and Saturday skiing and loved loved loved it.  Logan was feeling kind of sick, so we mostly stayed at home.
  • I went and saw National Theater Live's Hamlet - I loved it!  It was amazing!
  • Easter egg hunt at Liberty park - they had space for all the kids and lots of candy and eggs.  it was fun.
  • General Conference.
  • Easter fun - we did two nights of Lenten teas, symbolic dinners from Mark 14 and 15, which the boys loved.  We also did a Passover / Jesus dinner as well as more traditional Easter fare and also hot cross buns on Friday.  So, pretty much we just ate for Easter this year, but it was still fun.
  • Noah and I also went to see Paw Patrol Live.  He loved it.  he was so excited once we parked at the City Creek mall and then walked there.  He wanted to buy everything, but I mostly talked him out of it and he loved the show.  He asked to go back for days.  We had fun at the mall walking around on the way home until he saw the disney store and threw a huge fit because I wouldn't buy him anything, but we stopped for ice cream on the way home which helped a bit.
