- A trip to the beach with lost items - Memorial Day. The weather forecast ended up looking good so we went to the beach. It was a mixed day. We went to Fort Macon state park because it's our favorite beach access. Loving the new car because it was so easy to pack and loving the video system. The beach was lovely, nice weather, but the waves were pretty big - probably about the biggest we have seen at the beach. So, we made the kids stay close. Seth was bummed because his boogie board wasn't working well - it was broken and the strap broke. Logan's was a little broken, too. Noah was loving running in the waves, especially when Katsu carried him out into the big waves. He was happy to play the entire time. Then, Katsu lost his glasses and hat in the ocean! There was no way we were going to find them. You think we would have learned and make sure to remove everything. But, no. Then, Andrew lost his vivofit. He was crying, off and on, the rest of the day. But really, otherwise, it was a lovely day at the beach.
- Boys had a shark party at school.
- Blue and Gold for cub scouts. Katsu ran it and it was simple and went well. One of the mom's did a minion theme, which was cute. The boys all made minions out of pool noodles, which Noah and Logan especially loved. And there was banana splits for dessert. Andrew got the rest of his Bear adventure loops and his Bear badge and one of his first Webelos pins, so that was great. Going to Congaree really helped with camping and hiking ones.
- Andrew took his end of grade tests (EOGs) on Wed. and Thurs. It is really boring for him because he finishes in like an hour and then has to just sit and stare into space for 3 hours as he can't read books or anything. So, we were pretty low key this week in terms of piano and chores and things. He got a 5 on both with a pretty high score, so he should get to do all his fun gifted activities next year.
- Movie Night - we did two this week - Little Mermaid (Noah's pick) and Cars 2.
- Saturday morning we did some cleaning (we are slowing cleaning all the carpets - two rooms down and some painting). We then went and checked out the new section of the Greenway, which was done really nicely. Then, some shopping and more shopping. A chill day, more or less.

First week of June 2017
A pretty unremarkable week except for Memorial Day.
